About Innovista Group
Innovista Group is a Melbourne-based construction company specialising in premium, high-inclusion granny flats and adaptable living solutions. Serving investors and owner-occupiers within a 150km radius of the Melbourne CBD, Innovista positions itself as offering industry-leading inclusions at competitive pricing.
With Signature and Luxe packages designed to outperform competitors’ premium offerings, Innovista targets homeowners aged 35–50, property investors seeking 10%+ rental yields, and first-home buyers planning future-ready builds. While the business had strong fundamentals, its digital presence lacked the structure needed to support growth.

“Rope Digital’s strategic approach gave us the digital foundation we needed to compete confidently. Their focus on lead quality and long-term growth aligns perfectly with our premium positioning.”
The problem
What they came to us with.
01
No structured digital marketing foundation or SEO strategy.
02
Low search volume in the granny flat category, requiring precision targeting.
03
Absence of trust signals such as reviews, case studies, or visual proof.
04
No email database or CRM-driven lead nurturing.
05
Communicating premium value in a price-sensitive market.
Our approach
How we thought about it.
Innovista’s digital platforms did not effectively communicate value, capture demand, or guide prospects toward enquiry. We implemented a phased, organic-first strategy designed for long-term growth.
01 / Discovery and targeting
Discovery and precision targeting
Market research, competitor analysis, and audience profiling across investors, owner-occupiers, and first-home buyers. Extensive keyword research targeted long-tail, low-competition terms aligned with investment returns and lifestyle needs.
02 / Content and local SEO
A content roadmap with local reach
A structured roadmap spanning educational, informative, and conversion-led blogs, publishing SEO-optimised content monthly. On-page, technical, and local SEO ran alongside a fully optimised Google My Business presence to strengthen Melbourne visibility.
03 / Lead infrastructure
Email and CRM built from scratch
Email marketing and CRM infrastructure were built from zero using HubSpot, enabling lead scoring, segmentation, and automated nurture sequences.
04 / Paid media layered on
Paid media on an organic foundation
Google Ads and Meta campaigns were layered in to support consistent lead flow, supported by robust conversion tracking and analytics.
The deliverables
What was built.
01 / SEO-driven content strategy
Long-form blogs targeting low-competition, high-intent keywords.
02 / Local SEO foundation
Fully optimised Google My Business profile for Melbourne reach.
03 / Email marketing infrastructure
Lead nurturing campaigns built from a zero database.
04 / HubSpot CRM management
Lead scoring and segmentation for sales prioritisation.
05 / Conversion tracking setup
Facebook Pixel, Google Tag Manager, and analytics implementation.
06 / Content-led trust building
Educational storytelling to support premium value perception.

What we learned
The honest takeaways.
Every project teaches us something. Here's what this one taught us.
Low search volume is a targeting problem, not a dead end
The granny flat category simply is not searched often. Precision on long-tail, high-intent terms beat chasing volume — and brought in prospects already close to enquiry.
Trust has to be built before it can be converted
Premium pricing in a price-sensitive market fails without proof. Educational storytelling did more for value perception than any discount-led message would have.
Organic first, paid second
Layering Google Ads and Meta on top of a working content and CRM foundation is what kept cost per lead at $4.97 — paid media amplified a system that already converted.
